You can tell I am one very proud Grandma. Here is another picture of Olivia. Look at all that dark hair. Apparently she doesn't like her picture taken because she always has her eyes closed when the camera is snapped.

New Granddaughter
Yesterday our newest granddaughter Olivia was born. This is the first for our daughter Becky and her husband Wayne. She doesn't look a thing like her last sonogram picture. That picture looked a whole lot like her mother. Maybe when we see her with her eyes open.

Sugar Nellie Stamps
I was very excited to find these new Sugar Nellie digital stamps from Scotland. And I am excited to be teaching a class using them. Here is the first of two cards that will be in the class using the Joy stamp from the Simply Adorable series. I love the detail in the stamps. It makes it so much easier to color.
Copic colors used: E31, E50, E53, E00, E11, R00, B41, B45

Sorry I've been away so long.
My husband and I went to the Grand Canyon and St. George, Utah for 2 weeks. We had a wonderful time visiting friends and relative. Here is us at the Grand Canyon.
My sister-in-law and I also found some great consignment shops in St. George. We went to a Roberts store nearby. That is the first time I have been to a Roberts store. Wish they had one nearby here.
I taught one class since we've gotten back and immediately got sick. I still haven't been able to shake it and I have two Copic class to prepare for.
Here are pictures of my cards from last week.
Now I need to get busy to create thank you cards for all the wonderful people that hosted us for 2 weeks.

What techiques do I need to know to use Copic markers
A number of people take my classes and learn a technique to do a particular task, but have not have to basic techniques on which to build on. That is why the Copic Marker: What, How and Wow! class is being offered at Schmitt Photo every two or three months. Perhaps you have taken one of my technique classes, but felt that there was more you needed to know. Copic Marker: What, How and Wow gives a good basis for all my techniques classes. Plus you get plenty of information to take some and samples of how you colored with different techniques. This class is a good way to get the most from your Copic. Because we spent so much time on learning techniques, the class is 2 ½ hours instead of the usual 2 hours and you will make one card using your new found techniques. The card we make will change with the seasons, but not the information on Copic markers. This week the card will be the owl card shown below and the class will be 5:30 to 8 pn Tuesday Jan. 11 at Schmitt Photo.

To Post or Not
I have always been a die cut user and have hundreds of dies to prove it. But I have found a new love too, stamping and coloring with Copic markers. I have been debating for a long time as to whether or not to create a blog. Several people who have taken classes from me have asked for one. So this is my first attempt.
